ALSS NEW PROGRAM!

ALSS Habitat Restoration Program is planned as a continuous and long-term program launched recently by the Asian Leopard Specialist Society to improve the Persian leopard conservation status in Iran. The program is an important topic in the Persian Leopard National Conservation and Management Action Plan. Various aspects of habitat restoration will be addressed during each phase. Meanwhile, one of the earliest pilot sites selected for this purpose followed by the previous activities in terms of the ALSS habitat-related plans is located in northeastern Iran. This program is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Ghavam Sanei because of his sincere and successful efforts and activities about environmental issues (e.g. afforestation and combat desertification).
